Following the advice of the most renowned figures in the night club market, Rane developed the MP 24 to break down the limiting barriers of previous mixer designs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFeaturing four Stereo Input mixing Channels, each supplied with a selection of several PHONO and LINE Inputs, the MP 24 easily suits the needs of the most complex audio\/video installations. A total of six Stereo LINE Inputs are available plus three Stereo PHONO Inputs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe MIC CONTROL section of the MP 24 handles two microphones simultaneously. Both mics may be contoured by the three-band Mic Equalizer as well as processed through a MIC LOOP jack. On the rear of the unit, a 3-pin low-Z MAIN MIC Input with switchable PHANTOM POWER, and a ¼\" hi-Z AUX MIC Input are both mixable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Output section of the MP 24 provides a MASTER LEVEL fader, four band PROGRAM EQUALIZER (independent of the Microphone EQ), two auxiliary output controls (ZONE and BOOTH), a stereo 12-segment PEAK PROGRAM METER and full HEADPHONE CONTROL monitoring and cueing system.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe rear of the MP 24, besides holding all of the normal Input and Output connectors, features a transformer isolated LIGHT CONTROL OUTPUT with associated LEVEL control, balanced 3-pin MAIN OUTPUT connectors, Program Equalizer EQ RANGE switch (±4dB or ±8dB) and a SYSTEM MONO switch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll sliders on the MP 24 are studio-quality, side wipe faders as found on high quality audio mixing consoles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNew features have been added to the MP 24. We did some normal maintenance while installing the direct outs like changing filter capacitors in the DH C. board in respect to the vintage aspect of the mixer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is also very quiet for an older unit. No noticeable hiss in the mixer with the channels adjusted in the optimal configuration which makes it a great choice for a professional environment! The headphones jack have been replaced, other than that it's pretty much in excellent and original condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt can be delivered\/picked up with or without the road case. We highly recommend to keep the mixer in the case for transport for obvious reasons but we know that it adds significant weight for shipping. The total weight for the case + mixer is 37KG (82lbs). The needle's coil was open and It's unfortunately not something easily fixable. I had VU meters from an EM-300 on hand so those are the one installed right now. They were just a bit smaller but the result is pretty decent in my opinion. They just don't have the peak indicator like the original.
