Yamaha AEX 500 1997 - Hybrid Acoustic/Jazz - Piezo & Magnetic

At Herscheid & the Headbangers : AEX 500 Hybrid Acoustic-Jazz Guitar from Yamaha in a Very Good condition!

Absolutely fantastic guitar with great touch and tone. Great set up with low action, neck is very comfortable to play, straight and with almost all of the frets life remaining. With D'addario NYXL 10-46 it sounds amazing, but could be set up with a more acoustic-jazz vibe with the wound G string and higher string gauge.

Those guitars were only produced in 1997-2001. The AEX500 incorporates the same pickup and control system found in Yamaha’s APX line. The balance between the high quality piezo-electric pickup, mounted in the bridge, and the magnetic pickup offers sound that is nothing less than superb. A 3-band graphic EQ provides extended tonal control right at the playing position.

Beautiful sunburst, light and well balanced. Not a ding on the body, it wasn't played much during it's life so it's still in a very good state. As shown in the last picture, there is a slight separation on the shoulder near the controls. It doesn't create any unwanted effect on the playing or sound.
