If you have only just found out about the Soul Food, you may have also heard about another pedal: the Klon Centaur. The Soul Food is a clone (or ‘Klone’ in this case) of the Klon Centaur.

It doesn’t get much easier to use than this. It’s a simple overdrive pedal meant for those who like a simple tone.

The Soul Food goes back to the basics with the minimum controls you should expect on an overdrive pedal. Many guitarists use the Soul Food as a booster so having a Treble control comes in handy for this usage.

This a transparent overdrive effect with great sensitivity and dynamic response for all players who want to boost their guitar sound, but don't want to change the natural sound of the guitar pickups and instrument.

Gives you a warm clean boost, some bluesy dirt and a full juicy rock overdrive.

The three knob settings determine the output volume of the pedal, the amount of distortion/overdrive, and the EQ.

Operates in true bypass mode, so it does not affect the pass-through signal in any way when turned off (an internal switch can change the circuit to buffered bypass). Power adapter or a 9V battery.

In the end, it doesn’t matter if the Soul Food does or doesn’t replicate the Klon sound perfectly. What matters is if this is a good sounding pedal.
