Panasonic Ramsa WR-130 | Fully Recapped & Modified Analog Mixing Console

The Panasonic Ramsa WR-130 is a seriously underrated Japanese analog console with plenty of character. This one has been completely recapped, thoroughly cleaned, and modified with direct outputs to make it a versatile tool for both vintage and modern hybrid studios.

Servicing & modifications:

  • Complete recap using Nichicon low-ESR capacitors in the power supply and Panasonic low-ESR capacitors throughout the channel strips.
  • All potentiometers cleaned.
  • Custom direct outputs added to every channel, post-EQ and post-fader, unbalanced mono TS.
  • Transformer-balanced main outputs on PGM A and PGM B.

A proper recap helps bring an aging console back to spec, reducing noise and unwanted distortion caused by deteriorated components, improving reliability, and restoring stable, consistent performance. Combined with fresh low-ESR capacitors throughout the power supply and channel strips, this board is ready for many more years of use.

A seriously versatile little analog beast.

The WR-130 delivers that unmistakable vintage Japanese analog character: thick, punchy, harmonically rich, and capable of some seriously fat analog saturation when pushed. Drums, synths, samplers, drum machines, or full mixes: this console can add weight, density, and attitude to your sound.

Four channels feature dedicated phono inputs for turntables, making this an interesting option for DJ setups, sampling rigs, and vinyl-based production. The remaining channels offer an unusually wide range of microphone attenuation settings: -20, -30, -40, -50, -60, and -70 dB, providing plenty of flexibility for different input levels and recording situations.

Each channel features high and low EQ, with additional EQ on both PGM A and PGM B. The main program outputs are transformer-balanced, adding classic transformer character to the main signal path.

External effects are easy to integrate thanks to the echo send/receive section, with the send configurable pre- or post-mix on each channel. The newly installed direct outputs also let you route each channel individually to your interface or outboard gear, post-EQ and post-fader, making the WR-130 a practical centerpiece for a hybrid recording setup.

Fully serviced, upgraded, and ready to work. A vintage Japanese console with real character, modern routing flexibility, and plenty of analog attitude.
