Yamaha SG35 – Red – All Original – Honest Player’s Guitar
Here’s a red Yamaha SG35 that has clearly been played and enjoyed. Good overall condition with visible signs of use and play throughout.
Part of Yamaha’s early SG lineup from the late ’60s/early ’70s, the series helped establish Yamaha as a serious electric guitar builder long before the famous SG1000/2000 models associated with artists like Santana.
The neck is straight, stable, and plays very well. No dead spots. Action is currently low and comfortable with a fresh set of D’Addario 10–46s. Frets have been polished and still have good life remaining.
Important note on the truss rod: it is fully loosened. The neck is fine as it sits now, but if the next owner plans to run very light strings such as 8s, they may not create enough tension to maintain the current low action. With 10–46 or similar gauges, this should not be a concern.
All electronics and pickups are original and fully functional. Original Yamaha tuning keys and hardware are also intact.
The pickguard was previously glued around the edges, and the screws have been repositioned as shown in the photos. It’s secure and functional, just not cosmetically perfect.
A great opportunity to grab an original SG35 that plays well and sounds the way it should, with honest wear and real character.
